Social Network Now Have A New Family Member – Audio Blog Was Added To Help People Blog More Efficiently

(PRWEB) June 22, 2011

Toronto based technology company Wulei Info Inc (Wii) has unveiled http://www.twitaudi.com an innovative social network portal specially designed by Internet Networking Professionals, for connecting people worldwide.

Wii C.E.O Says, “People have been waiting for long for a day they could get a site where they could comfortably communicate what they have in their heart. Saying it is not only enough but having people they could tell their story. It is from this background that Twtiaudi was designed. It presents another phase where people can interact freely online. This goes further to solve the much needed expression which can be well attained through having an account which people can visit. The expected flow of traffic will ensure that the person reached through the message one takes to deliver is well received.”

With Twitaudi one is able to tell a story of his own. This creates a forum where one can develop his story and narrate it to people through sharing it. One just requires to take time develop his story and then release it. Due to the popularity that will be generated, one needs to rest assured that his story will get a wide audience and response. There is advice for you, you can only be the one to make you story exciting.

Another opportunity that members joining Twitaudi can expect is that they will be in a position to register a complaint. If one has a complaint against anything, one can record it for action. People can be free to raise their concern and explain what they expect to be done.

Publishing a speech is another process one can do on the new site. One can give a speech to his targeted audience and just refer them to http://www.twitaudi.com. Here they are able to view the speech and have an opportunity to comment on it. Users can therefore get reactions from the audience fast.

Twitaudi will provide a forum where one can post a comment. Once whatever is published on the site is read, users will be accorded an opportunity to give their feedback. One can air their views on a certain topic effectively.

Still http://www.twitaudi.com will allow a person to record and publish their own sound track. One can therefore easily place a video game, motion picture, and or TV program into their album.

Registration of an account with Twitaudi will just be simple so that anyone can enjoy the discussed opportunities. Users can just log in with their twitter account and they will be ready to go. To record sound track however, one will require having java installed.

For more information about how to sign into an account, visit http://www.twitaudi.com. There people will be able to get their message across to others.

Green Light Daily Launches Deals in Twin Falls, ID

Green Light Daily Launches Deals in Twin Falls, ID

Twin Falls, ID (Vocus/PRWEB) March 16, 2011

Green Light Daily has started selling daily deals on their site to residents in and around Twin Falls, ID. Green Light Daily launched their site today and before today, already had quite a bit of people excited for the deals to come out. Deals that save people 50-90% of what they would normally pay.

Many are familiar with sites similar to Green Light Daily. They all sell coupons for a lot less than what people would originally pay. The process is quite simple. First buyers find the deals they want. Second, they buy the deal. Third, hopefully they share the deal with their family and friends. That way others can get in on Green Light Daily’s, daily deals and save money.

What makes Green Light Daily different from other daily deal sites?

CEO of Green Light Daily, Coleman Spaulding said, “Green Light Daily not only has daily deals, there’s a chance for buyers to get the deals for free!”

Most of Green Light Daily deals will display a red icon. When people see the red icon a random buyer out of every 50 deals can get the deal for free. What else? Green Light Daily also has what is called a ‘sliding scale’. When buyers see a deal with a sliding scale this means the more people that buy, the lower the price will be for that item.

Who would like to getaway on a vacation for even less than what the full price would be? Going on a vacation can get pretty pricy. Green Light Daily knows that and has getaway deals just for those wanting to getaway for a low rate. If buyers don’t see a deal they like or want to suggest a deal, send Green Light Daily an email and they will work hard to get a deal that works for everyone.

Even more savings are just around the corner at GreenLightDaily.com. Everything from local deals, everywhere deals and getaway deals at a click of a button. People can even send the deal as a gift by simply emailing the coupon code right to their family and friends or sending it by mail. So many options and they are pretty much limitless at Green Light Daily. Don’t miss out on any of Green Light Daily’s deals!

About Green Light Daily. GreenLightDaily was founded by Coleman Spaulding from Salt Lake City, Utah. The team at Green Light Daily is committed to their work and is all about finding fun fascinating deals that people will want to buy. The team enjoys what they do and have fun finding local, everywhere and getaway deals. Green Light Daily’s main office is located in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Expertise Matters More Than Friends In Today?s Taste-Driven Web According To New Meebo Research

Expertise Matters More Than Friends In Today’s Taste-Driven Web According To New Meebo Research

Meebo unveils new technology today about how expertise will become more important than your friends online.

New York, NY (PRWEB) June 09, 2011

As Web users increasingly look for content that speaks to their specific tastes, they are placing more value on those with expertise than their existing relationships online, according to new research from consumer Internet Company Meebo. The research study will be presented today during Internet Week New York and the presentation will be streamed live

Instead of getting recommendations of content from their online social circles, half (53 percent) of people today are seeking advice from knowledgeable strangers, or “everyday experts” while browsing online.

“Web discovery today largely happens through people or influencers we already know, but people are expressing frustration about the inability to find relevant content fdfrom their social circles,” said Seth Sternberg, Meebo’s Co-Founder and CEO. “As more discovery solutions are developed, ‘everyday experts’ will gradually surface within specific interest areas and become important advocates in the future.”

The study found that people are actively seeking “everyday experts” to help them find content of interest:

Fifty-three percent of people say said they want to get advice from someone who is knowledgeable about a topic, but whom they don’t know.
Almost half (48 percent) of people want to meet others with whom they share a common interest.
More than a third of the population (38 percent) turn to anonymous sources for product and service recommendations.

When narrowed down to specific interests or hobbies, nearly half of people are interested in connecting with everyday experts over those who they know:

When it comes to looking for information about a shared hobby or interest, 39 percent of people would turn to strangers for content recommendations whereas only 28 percent would look to those with whom they have existing relationships.
Forty-one percent of people would prefer to connect with “everyday experts” on travel information, whereas only 17 percent would turn to people they already know.
Forty-three percent would turn to unknowns for recipes or cooking-related content, while only 22 percent would connect with people they know.

While 68 percent of people are experts and passionate about something (source: Forrester Groundswell Study 2010), connecting to those people isn’t easy; the necessary Web navigation tools to find them are lacking. Only 22 percent of people think that it’s easy to connect online to people with whom they share a common interest.

As technologies evolve, these “everyday experts” will begin to leave digital trails of their online activity and become influencers for Web users, content and brands online.

Meebo’s research study was conducted in partnership with Erica Rutt+ Associates and is nationally representative. It sampled 1,473 people and included populations across several genders, ethnicities, household incomes, locations, education levels and age groups. It was fielded in January to February 2011 and consisted of online surveys, in-home ethnographies and a series of interviews.

The sample was broken down into several sub-segments of people who describe themselves when online as: introverts or extroverts in social situations; leaders or followers in terms of influence; tech forward or tech averse when it comes to trying or purchasing new technologies; and moms and dads.

Meebo now reaches 40 percent of the U.S. Internet audience and nearly 170 million unique users worldwide, according to comScore Media Metrix (March 2011). It provides the easiest, most open and most “right there where you want it” way to share on the web.

Integrating all social networks and communications channels into a single, simple-to-use solution, Meebo enables users to easily share content and communicate in real time with the people who matter to them, and connects people to their friends on the numerous websites that have installed the Meebo Bar, through mobile devices and via Meebo Messenger. The privately held company was founded in 2005. For more information, visit meebo.com.

Closet Factory-Washington DC & Baltimore Joins the ?11 IN 11? Campaign with a Shoe Drive to Benefit Soles4Souls

Closet Factory-Washington DC & Baltimore Joins the “11 IN 11” Campaign with a Shoe Drive to Benefit Soles4Souls® Inc., the Shoe Charity, from May 1st thru December 31, 2011

Nashville, TN (PRWEB) May 24, 2011

Soles4Souls Inc. has committed to collect and distribute 11 million shoes in 2011 to people living in extreme poverty and recovering from natural disasters through its “11 IN 11” campaign. The shoe charity gives away one pair of shoes to a person in need every 7 seconds. Since 2005, Soles4Souls has distributed more than 12 million pairs of shoes because of the generosity and commitment of people and organizations like Closet Factory Washington DC & Baltimore.

Soles4Souls believes partners like Closet Factory Washington DC & Baltimore will challenge others to become a force of change by helping the charity reach its aggressive but necessary “11 IN 11” goal which reflects the every-growing needs of the global community. The shoe charity recognizes its success is the result of individuals and industry partners such as Closet Factory Washington DC & Baltimore who clean out closets and warehouses so that 300 million children around the world can have their first pair of shoes.

For a limited time, Soles4Souls and Closet Factory Washington DC & Baltimore will be collecting your gently worn footwear and/or donations to make a tangible difference through the gift of shoes. Every donation will support the charity’s initiative to distribute 11 million pairs of shoes in 2011.

“With the earthquakes in countries like Haiti and Chile, on top of the enormous needs elsewhere, we can use the estimated 1.5 billion shoes taking up space in the closets of ordinary people to change the world one pair at a time,” said Founder and CEO of Soles4Souls, Wayne Elsey.

Elsey added, “We need partners like Closet Factory Washington DC & Baltimore to get behind our ’11 IN 11′ campaign and get a little crazy this year. Donating shoes is one of the most simple yet profound gifts you can make, because it will greatly improve someone’s life in the most difficult of times.”

Closet Factory Washington DC & Baltimore will be collecting gently used shoes through December 31, 2011. Learn more by visiting http://www.ClosetFactory.com/WashingtonDC

People and companies interested in donating can also visit the Soles4Souls website at http://www.giveshoes.org.

About Soles4Souls® & Clothes4Souls®

Since 2005, Soles4Souls has given away over 13 million pairs of new and gently worn shoes (currently distributing one pair every 7 seconds). The shoes have been distributed in 125 countries, including Haiti, Kenya, Nepal and the United States.

Clothes4Souls, a new division of Soles4Souls, provides hope for hurting people through the gift of new clothing from manufacturers, designers, and retailers. Lookup.com: Free People Search Tool Now Utilizes Professional Networking Sites and ?Hidden Web? Search to Provide an Advanced People Finder

Lookup.com: Free People Search Tool Now Utilizes Professional Networking Sites and ‘Hidden Web’ Search to Provide an Advanced People Finder

People Search Results

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) March 31, 2011

Since its launch in October 2010, thousands of people have taken advantage of Lookup.com’s people find facility and reverse phone lookup capability. Lookup.com uses advanced algorithms to store a growing database of millions of people taken from various information sources and profiles on the web allowing users to perform a people lookup by name, address, email or phone number. By constantly enhancing the way the site retrieves its people search data, the accuracy, speed and depth of information it returns is advancing day by day.

Every second more information is being placed on the Internet from millions of sources. In its search for people, Lookup.com uses highly advanced technology to gather information from a wide range of databases. This includes public records, white pages, email addresses, images and also feeds from various social & professional networking sites – such as LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter. However, what a lot of people fail to understand is how deep the Lookup.com people search actually goes.

This is where the power of the ‘hidden web’ or ‘deep web’ search comes into its own. The problem with many regular search engines is that they literally just crawl along the surface of the information available on the net and lack the ability to delve further into the deep web. What this means to the user is that any background check, address search, email lookup or any other kind of people search will not return anything other than basic information. As much of the information necessary to provide a detailed people search or people address finder is located in the deep web, only a search engine such as Lookup.com can bring back the best people find search results.

From a basic address search or email lookup, right through to a detailed background check or property report, the information hidden in the deep web is far greater than the regular, surface web utilized by most search engines. Lookup.com is constantly refining the art of selecting this ‘hidden’ information to find people and retrieve details on their activities. So whether the search is for former classmates, a property report, a background check or address search Lookup.com can provide detailed and fast results.

People Serving People Named Community Cornerstone of the Mill District of Minneapolis

People Serving People

Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) April 27, 2011

Mill City Times, a community news and community service organization, named People Serving People a Community Cornerstone award winner, recognizing the positive impact on the Mill District neighborhood of Minneapolis by the neighborhood group.

“People Serving People plays a vital role beyond being a haven for families in need of shelter” according to Kim Eslinger, Editor of the Mill City Times. “They help prepare families for success in living after they find permanent housing” said Eslinger.

“We are so thrilled to receive this award for making a difference in the Mill City neighborhood, but we cannot take credit for making a difference ourselves. The families that stay at our shelter are working hard on improving their lives, the volunteers who live and work nearby are spending time on helping children and parents to have solid ground to stand on, and the people who give their own money are helping our programs to operate at full capacity. People Serving People’s success is truly an indicator of how well our community works together in addressing family homelessness. Thank you, neighbors!” said Dr. Craig Lewis, President/CEO on news of the award.

ABOUT PEOPLE SERVING PEOPLE

People Serving People provides emergency shelter to 99 homeless families every night in Hennepin County. Located in Downtown Minneapolis, this 10-story building is essentially a hotel whose primary form of hospitality comes in helping families to overcome homelessness. Families come to the shelter because of landlord foreclosures, job loss, financial crisis, evictions, overwhelming medical expenses, etc – and they leave with stronger community connections, dedicated advocates, employment, stable housing, and a chance at a better future. The heart and soul of People Serving People’s work is the time spent on strengthening the futures of the 200+ children at the shelter every day – through early childhood education, healthy meals, volunteer readers and tutors, healthcare, family activities, school transportation, and stabilization of family life. Everyone deserves to have a place to call home – and People Serving People depends on the community’s support to help families find their way home. Win a Dream Adventure with CLIF BAR’s Meet the Moment Program

Emeryville, CA (PRWEB) May 16, 2011

CLIF BAR today introduced Meet the Moment, a celebration of athletic adventures and the places they happen. Whether it’s action, adventure or the thrill of the chase, CLIF BAR wants people to share how they Meet the Moment by uploading inspiring photos and stories at http://www.MeettheMoment.com.

CLIF BAR will award three people who upload the most inspirational and creative Moments by July 31 an opportunity to pursue their dream adventure. Each winner will select the adventure of their choice (up to a maximum value of $ 12,000) – be it trekking the Amazon, chasing the Tour de France, riding a wave at J Bay, extreme boarding at Marmot or any other athletic adventure they’ve dreamed about.

The five non-profit beneficiaries that people can select from to direct a $ 5 CLIF BAR donation on their behalf – Leave No Trace, International Mountain Biking Association, Surfrider Foundation, Access Fund and Winter Wildlands Alliance – were chosen for their focus on protecting the places where people Meet the Moment and their dedication to ensuring that outdoor spaces will be preserved for future generations to experience their own Moments.

Meet the Moment will culminate Oct. 1 with CLIF BAR’s first National Day of Action, an inspirational day of volunteer activities making a positive and lasting impact on the outdoor places and spaces where memorable Moments occur every day.

How to Post a Moment

Anyone is invited to upload a photo and share their Moment at http://www.MeettheMoment.com. Once the postcard is complete, it can be posted to a photo gallery on http://www.MeettheMoment.com. The gallery is designed to serve as a visual community of people sharing athletic adventures and stories.

Once submitted, Moments will be plotted on four different “energy maps” that will track the location of like-minded individuals, the number of Moments dedicated by sport, the number of Moments assigned to each non-profit and the feelings Moments created. People also will be able to scroll over Moments in the Moment Gallery and on the energy maps to learn the story behind each postcard, with the goal of inspiring more Moments of outdoor adventure.

Be inspired to Meet the Moment by watching Team CLIF Bar athletes as they scale the chilly face of Smith Rock, ski the backcountry of Hoodoo, surf the swell at Garrapata Beach, mountain bike in the Santa Cruz redwoods, and more!

Fear, Population Grow at Salesian Compound in Ivory Coast Where 30,000 Seek Safety After Horrific Violence

Fear, Population Grow at Salesian Compound in Ivory Coast Where 30,000 Seek Safety After Horrific Violence

Salesian Missions is active in the Ivory Coast, as well as most of Africa.

Duékoué, Ivory Coast (PRWEB) April 26, 2011

New fears grow along with the number of people seeking safe shelter at a Salesian Missions compound in Duékoué. More than 30,000 displaced civilians are now living there after fleeing their homes when the Carrefour district was looted and houses set on fire on March 29. At least 800 people were killed.

“There is no food, people are sleeping on the ground, there is nowhere else to go,” says Salesian Father Vicente Grupeli. “There are no toilets or washing facilities and we have no drinking water.”

They also are without adequate food and water. However, Fr. Grupeli’s greatest fear is a cholera outbreak, which he says is a serious threat if more aid is not received soon.

A Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) team has been providing medical care in the Salesian compound in Duékoué on a daily basis since December. On April 19, MSF reported:

“The pressure on the camp is enormous. The number of people sheltering there far surpasses its capacity, and more are continuing to arrive. In surrounding villages, many people are still hoping to make their way to this dreadful safe haven.”

“In our dispensary, consultations have recently doubled and in some rooms we have two consultants because of the lack of space,” says Dr. Mohamadou Seyni, who coordinates MSF’s activities in the camp. “After the days of violence, we had a lot of trauma and injuries that we needed to refer to our team in the hospital in town, but now most of our consultations are for malaria. Yesterday, out of 120 children tested, 80 had malaria.”

On April 4, the Salesian Info Agency (ANS) reported that “there are only two Salesians there who have to try to respond to the appeals for help from about 20,000 people.”

Since then, the number of people seeking shelter and assistance at the Salesian compound has grown to at least 30,000. A report from the International Organization for Migration (IOM) confirms the massive numbers and shows completed registrations for more than 27,500 internally displaced persons (IDPs) seeking refuge in and around the Salesian compound in Duékoué.

The numbers are growing and people are afraid to leave and return home.

“It would be naive to believe that they will return home immediately,” says Fr. Gupeli.

The fears are warranted. Catholic News Service (CNS) reported that armed robbers attacked members of the faculty of a Jesuit-run theology school in the Ivorian capital of Abidjan on April 17, as the priests were preparing for dinner. Students have not been at the school for several months due to escalating violence in the area. The robbers entered school grounds by jumping over a security wall, then quickly disarmed the guards on duty and attacked a deacon.

This illustrates why U.N. forces have guarded the Salesian compound ever since the violence erupted, making it one of the only places civilians feel safe (even with the health threats they face due to lack of adequate clean water and sanitation). Like all Salesian workings around the globe, safety is paramount and is evident in the large security walls and guards. But the presence of the U.N. forces doesn’t ease the fears of the people. Rather, it indicates the seriousness of the situation.

“This does not mean that there is more security,” says Fr. Gupeli. “On the contrary, the people are afraid.”

The Salesian Missions compound — created to serve as a vocational training center, a home for children and a youth center — suspended all activities to care for the tens of thousands who have overwhelmed the facility, according to Fr. Grupeli.

ANS reports, “to cope with this tragic situation, the Salesians and the refugees are in urgent need of help from the main humanitarian aid agencies.”

The Salesian mission office in Madrid launched an urgent appeal for food, water, medical supplies and other needs that are in short supply. Information about the campaign can be found at http://www.misionessalesianas.org.

Story provided by MissionNewswire.

About SALESIAN MISSIONS in Duékoué and Around the Globe

The “Salesian Saint Teresa of the Child Jesus mission” – as it is known locally – is the only remaining catholic mission in Duékoué and is registered officially as “Salesian Missions Duékoué.”

The Salesians in Duékoué are connected with the Salesian Missions office in New Rochelle, NY, which is working to provide information about the events and situation in Duékoué. The office is responsible for U.S.-based fundraising efforts to support missions around the globe, in addition to managing crisis response when needed (such as it did in Haiti).

The Salesians are made up of 34,000 Priests, Brothers and Sisters serving in the spirit of their founder, Don Bosco, an Italian Catholic priest who devoted his life to fulfilling the needs of orphans and vulnerable children. Their mission is to enable poor and suffering children to live better lives and build brighter futures. The Salesians operate 5,000 schools and technical training centers, 23 colleges, 216 clinics and hospitals, 225 orphanages and shelters, and a wide variety of social and economic development activities – in more than 130 countries spanning all five continents.

No American Lay Missioners are serving in the Ivory Coast.

More information about Salesian Missions (and ways to help) is available at http://www.SalesianMissions.org.

Despite these positive statistics, six million people aged 65 and over in the UK have never been online(2). To enable more older people to access the Internet and enjoy its social benefits, such as keeping in contact with friends and family more easily, Age UK is this week running myfriends online week 2011 (21-27 March 2011). The Charity is calling on people with Internet skills to pledge to pass on their knowledge to an older friend, family member or neighbour who has never been online, or for older people to attend a local training event.

With nearly one million older people saying that they are often or always lonely(3), and over half (five million) of people aged 65+ saying that they consider the television as their main form of company(4), the Internet can be hugely important in allowing people to keep in contact with loved ones and helping to tackle feelings of isolation and loneliness.

New polling(5) commissioned by Age UK has shown that 63% of people aged 65 and over who use the Internet feel that since they have been online they have been able to keep in contact with friends and family more than before. The Charity also found that of those older people who do not use the Internet, nearly one in four (24%) feel that the Internet would be a useful way of keeping in contact with friends and family more easily, suggesting there is a growing awareness of the benefits that the Internet can bring.

Linda Robson, actress and Age UK ambassador, said: “It’s great to hear that older Brits are amongst those leading the way in Europe on Internet use. As a recent convert to the online world I know the fear that people might face when going online for the first time, but it really isn’t as scary as you think and the benefits are fantastic.

“That’s why it’s such a shame that millions of older people are still not online and missing out on everything the ‘net can offer, like keeping in contact with friends and family more easily. I’d urge anyone who enjoys making the most of the Internet to take the Age UK myfriends online week pledge and help teach someone who has never been online before to get involved!”

Helena Herklots, Services Director at Age UK, said: “Older Internet users are telling us that they are better connected to their loved ones because of the Internet, reinforcing that people of all ages can really benefit from being online. However, the challenge remains to enable the six million older people who have never been online before to use the Internet.

“To help get older people online, we need people of all ages who already use the Internet to pass on their knowledge to friends, family members and neighbours. If everyone helps one older person they know to get online, the UK’s older population could surf their way to the top of the European table, helping in the battle against social isolation along the way. As well as this, older people can get practical support and training by visiting their nearest myfriends online week event.”

Margaret Goodwin, 64 from Oxfordshire and the joint Age UK Internet Champion of the Year for 2011, said: “Having recently retired I was concerned that life might become lonely, however the Internet has ensured that this is not the case. I regularly use the Internet to keep in touch with friends and family around the world and have also got back in contact with family I had lost touch with. I’ve even tried Internet dating! If I can do it there is no reason why other people in later life can’t, so why not give it a go during myfriends online week?”
